Size – 75 x 50cm
Jacobean linen twill is a natural fibre fabric, manufactured in the traditional manner, as it has been since the 17th and 18th centuries, from flax seed grown in the north of Scotland. The honey-oatmeal colour naturally varies, depending on weather conditions.
This old style linen has been used for crewel work for centuries.
It has a high thread count, which is important for a good finish, and has a traditional twist, with one side being ridged. This is the correct side to stitch, as the weave is then visible.
