The Fairies are beautiful cast iron sculptures by Australian artist Ashley Sutton.

This eccentric character once worked deep in the mines of North Western Australia.
It was a life of back-breaking labor in difficult conditions. And now his life’s work is making cast iron fairies.

Each piece is original. Each fairy arrives in a little bag, with a leather label on each side, tied up with a drawstring. Each fairy carries with her her own pot of fairy dust. The little details!

Amy is my name, a petal and a thorn,
the rose is where I was born.
Look around low and high,
such beautiful colours fill my sky.

Pollen and perfume in the air,
such sweet senses I share,
with my friends, the butterfly and the bee,
Mother Nature smiles at me!

Born: Circa 1897

These vibrant autumn pansies in a basket are reproduced from a gorgeous postcard by artist Catherine Klein 1896. Vintage miniature embroidery is a collection of needle painting projects in miniature inspired by the Victorian Postcard and Gift book illustrations. Each embroidery is no bigger than 6 x 7 cm.
