The silk thread has a gorgeous sheen making it an excellent choice for a range of embroidery styles.
Each skein measures 9m (10yds) long. The base thread is spun in Bradford, England. I use Australian Landscapes Dyes which provide a beautiful depth and richness of colour. The dyeing process should yield a thread that is both colour and light fast, but this ***cannot be guaranteed***. Most threads run completely clear through the rinsing process but there are a couple of base dye colours that can leave a very faint hint of colour, even after extensive rinsing. For that reason, I would not recommend using these threads on any item that will be washed.
