Crewel work offers so many possibilities of pattern, stitches and colour!
Autumn Gold – the decorative leaves are embroidered using simple surface embroidery stitches, with interesting variations of chain stitches and Anna’s favorite ‘small leaf filling stitches’. The detailed instructions and diagrams will help guide you but you may find it handy to have a good stitch directory at hand.
The finished embroidery design measures 14cm (5 1/2″) square.
**Novice – MODERATE, perfect if you are familiar with basic stitches and want to practice your skills or are new to crewel embroidery.
