One of my favourite parts of this magazine are the reader’s stories on pages 8 and 9.

These two stories, although quite different from one another, make wonderful reading and reveal how a skill, once learned, can lead to a lifetime of pleasure and is a priceless gift to give to others.

Sometimes it is easy to forget how lucky we are to have our needlework skills – whether passed down through generations or learned from a book.

This issue contains eight lovely projects for you to stitch.

If you have a baby girl in your life you can choose from a delightful romper and jacket, embroidered yoke dress or a sweet ballet pink bishop. Choosing may be difficult or you may like to make them all!

Cute pyjamas are a must for every girl’s wardrobe and we have the ideal pair with a slip-over top and short pants. A little more formal are the ivory silk dupion and organza flowergirl dress and beautiful rose print yoke dress, perfect for Easter celebrations.

For everyday wear, what could be better than our corduroy tunic dress, embroidered with pairs of cheeky figures around the hem. As a special bonus, we are offering the kit in four fabulous colours.

An elegant jewellery roll, created from royal blue silk completes this issue.

Don’t forget your entry for ‘Reach for the Stars’. You have until the end of April to come up with something fabulous.
